Spinach & Feta Turkey Burgers

Servings - 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey

  • 1 package spinach sautéed and drained

  • ½ cup feta cheese

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup diced onion

  • 1 t garlic powder

  • 1 t red pepper flakes

  • ¼ t salt

Instructions:

Chop onion and place in a bowl, mix remaining ingredients, combine well. Form into four patties.

Preheat oven to 350. Place pan over medium-high heat, spray with oil. Place burgers in pan and cook for 4 minutes on each side until browned.

Transfer burgers to a foil lined baking sheet and place in oven for 15 minutes. When they are cooked they should get a fluffy plump look.

Now to keep it fun you can serve it 3 ways, or make it your own. For a real good burger experience I love an egg bun, delicious!!!! For a nice healthy light lunch or dinner serve it over a mixed green salad. For a quick bite, party appetizer or a snack for kids make them burgers a little smaller for sliders and serve them on a sweet potato "bun".

Ok, so I couldn't mention the buns and not share a recipe so here is a bonus for you guys today!

Sweet Potato "Buns" of Baked Fries
